Manager
Vanessa began her career in the beauty industry in Toronto as a graduate from Complections College of Makeup Artistry & Design in 2013. She started out in fashion doing runway, look books, and editorial photoshoots. From there she moved into video work doing commercials, independent films, and bio videos. 2020 saw her return to her hometown and continued in the beauty industry in an administrative salon role. Joining the Drift Salon/Day Spa team she’ll use her knowledge and experience to guide the estheticians and heighten guest experiences.

Assistant Manager
I first joined the Drift Team in 2019 as a Certified Esthetician. I am certified in Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, and more! With having past reception experience, I soon found interest in front desk operations! I became a receptionist in 2021, and was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Manager in September 2023. I am excited to work with such an amazing team everyday and promote exceptional customer service and care to all of our clients!

With over 23 years of experience in the Spa Industry, Amanda continues to have a passion for esthetics and continues to educate herself in new skills and treatments to better serve her clients. While at Drift Salon / Day Spa she has had the opportunity to train and certify on some of the most advanced treatments, including super facials(Oxygeneo), Laser Hair Removal, and Skin Rejuvenation. Amanda specializes in skincare and facials, her soothing and gentle touch is the reason clients have remained loyal to her throughout her career.
Adelina
Esthetician
Adelina has been in the beauty industry since 2003. Her career began as a hairdresser, graduating from Thunder Bay School of Hair Design. She was also taught waxing and became certified in gel nails. In 2008, she made the decision to enroll in esthetics school, becoming a Fully Certified Esthetician. Adelina is certified in LCN gel nails, as well as En Vogue. She specializes in gel nail extensions and nail art and joined our team in 2019. She has always had a passion for drawing and painting and loves that she can use these skills to create beauty on your nails.

Carly joined the drift team in 2020 and is certified in manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, and lashes. She is constantly learning and growing as an esthetician and loves to make her clients feel confident and beautiful!

Erin H has been practicing in the esthetician field since 2012 as she's learnt from many educators in her first few years. She has been working at Drift as an esthetician since July 2019. She is certified in Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, and Body Services! Erin takes great pride in helping her clients fulfill their self-care dreams, she is here to help you with anything you need or desire.

Since 2020, Madison has been working in the beauty industry. As an aspiring nurse, she currently offers manicures, pedicures, and waxing services at Drift Salon/Day Spa while continuing her education. Madison’s dedication to her craft and commitment to ongoing education ensures that clients receive the highest level of care and attention during their visit at Drift Salon/ Day Spa.

Hortencia is originally from Mexico, she speaks both Spanish and English. She is happy to announce her services as a massagist here at Drift, she will also be offering Body Wraps and Body Polishes. She was certified at Sebastian Kneipp Superior Institute of Massage and Alternative Therapies in Mexico City in 2013. She has nine years of experience in relaxation massage, among other techniques and will be training here at Drift for other services.

We are thrilled to have an amazing team of hairdressers, with years of experience. This full-service salon is open 6 days a week, taking appointments for cuts, colours, perms, relaxants, and so much more. Our talented team has the ability and space to do group appointments, such as wedding parties.

Hair Stylist
Mandy loves creating head-turning looks for her clients and this has been her passion for the last 26 years. She graduated from Pivot Point Hairdressing School located here in Thunder Bay in 1997. Mandy takes pride in ensuring that everyone who sits in her chair is satisfied with their service while creating a relaxed environment for them to take a break from their busy day. She is experienced and trained in such products as Joico, Goldwell, and as well as our Milkshake and REF products. Mandy is also highly skilled in ombré, color correction, balayage, and up styles for graduations and weddings. She is also educated in the Goldwell Kerasilk Smoothing System to be able to use on her clients. Mandy loves to keep up-to-date on the best, healthiest and newest techniques.

She is a licensed and certified technician in multiple extension applications, colour systems, and has a love for formal hair. Daniela strives to give her clients their dream hair and a safe place to unwind. She thrives on building strong connections and helping clients express their personalities through their hair. Clean Beauty is also at the forefront of her passion. Using luxurious clean products that are safe for people and the planet. Erin has been in the hair industry for 10+ years. She has an innovative passion for hair design and genuinely cares to do the best job possible with each and every client. She's lucky enough to always be taking courses to advance her skills, from learning from colour brand ambassadors to celebrity stylist to hone her skills. Erin has received a master colour certificate from Joico, our current line we use in salon, and is very knowledgeable in the line and how the chemistry and benefits of the line work. Erin loves connecting with clients and making their hair dreams come true!
