MICROBLADING

DEFINITION

Micro-Pigmentation, also known as Semi-Permanent Make-Up or Cosmetic Tattooing , is a procedure that uses sterilized disposable needles to apply pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. This helps to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair strokes using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. The pigments are made of mineral, iron oxide base colorants. Topical anesthetics are applied to the area prior to the procedure to provide comfort for the client.

BENEFITS

If you use pencil to define your eyebrows, permanent eyebrows will relieve you of that daily routine. The results are the most natural looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. Microblading treatments are perfect for the following clients: Hair loss, lack of definition, thin brows caused by years of over tweezing, chemotherapy, scars, or alopecia. Microblading is also recommended for correcting asymmetry, active lifestyle, or cosmetic enhancement. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow colour, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly. Microblading replicates exact brow like hair, creating very fine, thin, crisp hair lines more so than a feathering technique used with a machine, it is a manual method, lasting 1-3 years and ideal for all skin tones.

PROCEDURE

Microblading is done in two separate appointments (phase 1 + phase 2) 4-6 weeks apart. It is very important to complete two visits as the pigments fade after the first  visit.

The initial procedure takes up to 2 hours. During this time, a consultation is undertaken, a colour tone chosen, a topical anesthetic applied and the initial outline of the procedure area is drawn for the client to approve. As we all heal differently, the end result will vary for each client. This is why a second visit is so important; it corrects any irregularities in colour tone or symmetry.

Occasionally a third visit may be necessary at a touch-up charge. This is not uncommon as the healing process varies. Frequency of a touch up depends on a number of factors including: the pigment colour used (lighter colours fade faster, lifestyle (sun exposure), and if any chemical peels come into contact with the treated area.
